Spring is nearly upon us, after an interesting turn of events for us all the past year, it is welcome to see the weather warm back up. There is something you should check at your business as you prepare for the warm weather; your pipes. The cold temperature could have caused some damage to your pipe system. There are a few indicators that your business could have suffered water damage.

• Discoloration of a surface
• This is a big sign that some form of water damage has occurred in that area and potentially even in areas that do not have any discoloration. This also can lead to mold growth, which will expand if left untreated.
• Musty odors
• If you smell something “off” look around and see if you can see any discoloration, if not, try to “smell” around and find where the odor is the strongest.
• Rise in a water bill
• Sometimes the leak may be too small to notice a change, and you may notice all of the other indicators before you get your monthly bill. But this will be your best friend to notify you if you haven’t seen anything else.
